Amjad Z. Ahmad MD

Dr. Amjad Z. Ahmad specializes exclusively in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face with an emphasis on the eyelid area. He is considered a ‘super specialist’ of the eyelid area which includes cosmetic and reconstructive issues. His practice ranges from small children with congenital ptosis to the elderly who have severe drooping of their eyelds. As an oculofacial surgeon, Dr. Ahmad performs plastic surgery around the eyes to restore the natural beauty of the eyelids. He is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago. Dr. Ahmad has performed over 20,000 major procedures over his career.

Dr. Ahmad always knew he was going to be a doctor and has spent the good majority of his life focusing on the hard work that was required to be the best doctor. He completed an additional two years of oculofacial surgery training at the University of Michigan. After graduation in 2000, he was hired to be the Director of Oculoplastic Surgery at Loyola Medical Center, where he was named Teacher of the Year in 2005. Dr. Ahmad has received the “Best Doctor” award from 2008 to present by his peers. Also Chicago Magazine rated him as one of the Top Doctors in Chicago since 2012. He has numerous other accolades including Top Doctor in America and has been listed in Who’s Who of Medicine. Dr. Ahmad is also a member of the exclusive and prestigious American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive surge, (ASOPRS).
