Dr Amit Verma is Director, Comprehenisve Epilepsy Program, Director of the division of Clinical Neurophysiology (EEG, Intra-operative monitoring and Epilepsy Program) and Director of the Neurophysiology fellowship program. His clinical interests include the evaluation of patients with medically refractory epilepsy and sleep disorders. Dr. Verma received his medical degree at Government Medical College in Amritsar, India, and training in internal medicine at Westchester County Medical Center, New York. Dr. Verma was a Neurology resident at Baylor College of Medicine, a Fellow in Neurophysiology and Epilepsy at Duke University, Durham, North Carolina and Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine. He is actively involved with both local and national epilepsy organizations and has served as a past Chair of the Professional Advisory Board of the Epilepsy Foundation of Southeast Texas. He has published many articles related to both epilepsy and sleep disorders and serves as an ad hoc reviewer for Neurology.
