Amit Mercia is an assistant professor of surgery at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science and Vice Chair of Practice in the Department of Surgery at the Mayo Clinic. He is board-certified in Colon and Rectal Surgery. He completed his Doctor of Medicine at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine and Master of Science at the Chicago Medical School. His Clinical Interests are Anal Fistula, Colon Cancer, Crohn's Disease, Rectal Cancer, Ulcerative Colitis, Rectal Cancer, Diverticular Disease, and Presacral Tumors.
