Amie Boal

Amie Boal will be joining the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and Chemistry in Spring 2013. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Northwestern University in Dr. Amy Rosenzweig's group. Amie research interests are in metalloprotein structural biology, particularly those in structure determination of protein/nucleic acid complexes and crystallographic capture of reaction intermediates. Boal's honors and awards include the NIH National Research Service Award in 2011, an American Cancer Society Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2010, McCoy Award in Chemistry in 2008, Ralph M. Parsons Foundation Fellowship in 2005 and the NIH Trainee in Molecular and Cellular Biology in 2003.
