Dr. Amer Mosa Alwreikat, MD, is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma, cataracts, and complex anterior segment disorders. He practices at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, caring for patients in Burlington, Arlington, and Peabody, Massachusetts. His clinical expertise includes cataract surgery, glaucoma laser procedures, trabeculectomy, glaucoma drainage device implantation, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), with a focus on preserving vision through personalized, evidence-based care.

Dr. Alwreikat earned his medical degree from the University of Jordan School of Medicine in 2008. He completed internship training at King Hussein Hospital in Jordan and the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, followed by ophthalmology residency with the Royal Medical Services of Jordan. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in glaucoma and ophthalmic surgery at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, where he further developed expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of complex glaucoma.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Alwreikat serves as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at UMass Chan-Lahey Medical School and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Tufts University School of Medicine. He is also the Co-Director of International Fellowship and Education for Lahey's Glaucoma Fellowship Program, contributing to the education and mentorship of future ophthalmologists. His academic interests include glaucoma research, cataract surgery, and innovations in ophthalmic education and patient care.
