Amel Al Ginawi MBBS, FRCP, MSc

Dr. Ginawi joins Mediclinic City Hospital from her position as a consultant rheumatologist and osteoporosis specialist in the Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS trusts, UK. Among other UK positions, she also worked at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. Dr. Ginawi has vast experience in dealing with most rheumatological conditions including osteoporosis and connective tissue disorders. Other areas of interest include early inflammatory arthritis and outcome measures in rheumatoid arthritis.

She obtained her training in osteoporosis in the Metabolic Bone Unit at Cambridge University Hospitals. She has a master’s degree in Rheumatology from King’s College. Prior to moving to Dubai, in 2014, she worked as a Consultant Rheumatologist in the NHS hospitals in the United Kingdom. She has established an early inflammatory arthritis clinic and was the Clinical Lead for the osteoporosis services in Essex.
