Dr. Amay Parikh, MD, MBA, MS, FACP, is a board-certified Internist, Nephrologist, Critical Care Physician, and Neurointensivist based in Orlando, Florida. He serves as the Medical Director of the Neurologic and Neurosurgical ICU at AdventHealth Orlando and is Associate Program Director of the AdventHealth Neurocritical Care Fellowship, where he contributes to advanced clinical care and physician training.
Dr. Parikh earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, where he also completed an MBA focused on health management and a Master of Science. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and dual fellowships in Nephrology and Critical Care Medicine at New York Presbyterian-Columbia University Medical Center. His interdisciplinary training supports his expertise in managing complex kidney disease, organ support therapies, and critically ill patients.
With extensive academic and clinical experience, Dr. Parikh has authored research publications and book chapters on topics such as renal replacement therapy, ICU economics, and dialysis modalities. His research interests include extracorporeal organ support and critical care outcomes. He has also served as an assistant clinical professor at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and maintains an academic appointment at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine.
Dr. Parikh is a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology and the American College of Physicians (FACP), reflecting his commitment to advancing both patient care and professional standards in internal medicine and nephrology.
