Amar Krishnaswamy MD

Amar Krishnaswamy, MD, is Section Head of Invasive & Interventional Cardiology in the Robert and Suzanne Tomisch Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute. He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiology, and interventional cardiology. He completed his undergraduate degree at Colgate University, graduating Magna Cum Laude with majors in Molecular Biology and Economics.

Krishnaswamy received his medical degree at Yale University School of Medicine, where he was awarded a grant to spend an extra year studying the vascular biology of transplantation. He went on to an Internal Medicine residency in the Osler Training Program at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was honored with the opportunity to serve as Assistant Chief of Service (Chief Resident) upon completion of his training. He then went on to complete both General Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic, after which he was invited to join the staff.
