Amanda is a Paediatric Nurse and Senior Lecturer at the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Griffith University, and Industry Liaison for the Alliance for Vascular Access Teaching and Research Group, Menzies Health Institute Queensland, Australia. Amanda has published > 30 peer reviewed research articles in international and national journals including the Pediatrics, Critical Care, American Journal of Critical Care and Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews and International Journal of Nursing Studies. She aims to develop practical, innovative and effective solutions that can easily be implemented in our everyday intravascular device practice.Her current research focus is on the minimisation of CVAD complications and failure. This program includes systematic reviews, randomized controlled trials, international cross-sectional surveys, point prevalence surveys and cohort studies.
