Amanda “Mandy” Mack, OTD, MS, OTR/L, is Instructor and Fieldwork Faculty for the Entry-Level OTD Program in the Department of Occupational Therapy. Dr. Mack completed her BS in Therapeutic Studies, MS in Occupational Therapy, and post-professional Occupational Therapy Doctorate degrees all at Boston University Sargent College. Dr. Mack has presented at state and national levels for her research in fieldwork education, experiential learning, and cancer-related fatigue and functional outcomes in cancer rehabilitation using the occupational therapy lens. She is an AOTA certified fieldwork educator and is active in both state and national occupational therapy organizations.
Some of Dr. Mack’s many responsibilities at the Institute include creating and coordinating level I fieldwork experiences, providing student and fieldwork educator support for level II fieldwork, as well as teaching and mentoring students. Dr. Mack is also involved with the OT Center for Learning, Participation, and Rehabilitation (OT CLiPR) and is involved in multiple justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives, including serving as the IHP’s COTAD Chapter Advisor (Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity).
