Amanda Nagy MD

Dr. Amanda Marie Nagy, M.D., is a pediatric neurologist and physician-scientist at Massachusetts General Hospital and MassGeneral Hospital for Children, where she specializes in child neurology, neurogenetics, and gene therapy. Her clinical and research interests focus on rare neurological and neurometabolic disorders, with an emphasis on advancing innovative therapies for children with complex genetic diseases.

Dr. Nagy earned her M.D. from Case Western Reserve University in 2016. She completed residency training in pediatrics at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, followed by child neurology residency and fellowship training in Neurogenetics and Gene Therapy at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is board-certified in Neurology with Special Qualifications in Child Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

As a faculty member and investigator within the Mass General neurology community, Dr. Nagy contributes to clinical care, translational neuroscience research, and medical education. Her work includes research on neurogenetic and metabolic disorders such as Canavan disease, leukodystrophies, autism spectrum disorders, and other rare pediatric neurological conditions. She has authored and contributed to scientific publications in journals including Human Gene Therapy, Brain & Development, and the Orphanet Journal of Rare Diseases.
