Amanda is a community Palliative Care Physician working in the Canterbury region for Nurse Maude's Hospice and Palliative Care service. She has worked as a consultant in the Northern Territory, covering the top end of Australia. Her current areas of interest are those with non-malignant palliative care needs, especially chronic obstructive airways disease and malabsorption in pancreatic cancer. Education is also a major focus, with Amanda recently being employed as a Senior Clinical Lecturer by the University of Otago, Christchurch.
Amanda is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Australia and New Zealand Society of Palliative Medicine Aotearoa.
