Amanda Chaney has over 15 years of clinical experience in caring for the acute care patient. In her current role, she cares for liver transplant patients as well as patients suffering from liver disease. She has developed several educational programs on nursing practice, including topics of bedside skills for the medical-surgical nurse, sepsis, care of the liver transplant patient, precepting and mentoring techniques and skills, nutrition considerations for the hospitalized patient and many others.

Amanda has received several awards and recognition for her nursing practice. She is involved in several quality improvement projects for patient care and building revenue and organization to the advanced practice nurse role. She is the founder of an aspiring leader and professional development group, helping others to attain leadership, publishing and presenting skills to further their careers. She was recently named as one of 19 NPs across the country to be chosen as an American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) Future Leader.
