Amalia M. Issa, PhD, MPH, FCPP, is an internationally recognized scientist in the field of personalized genomic medicine, and Founding Director of the Personalized Medicine and Targeted Therapeutics center. She founded the Personalized Medicine and Targeted Therapeutics in 2001, as one of the first centers focused on pharmacogenomics and personalized medicine, and their translation to healthcare delivery and health systems. She joined the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in 2011 as Professor and Chair, and brought this research center with her. The mission of the Center is to develop the evidence base for, promote informed decision making about, and accelerate knowledge translation of personalized medicine applications into meaningful health outcomes
