Alphonse Kenison Roy Iii MD, DFASAM

Dr. Roy is the Founder and Medical Director of Addiction Recovery Resources, Inc. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and the recipient of the 2006 Excellence in Treatment Award from the Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, the recipient of the 2008 Annual Psychiatric Leadership Award presented by the Louisiana Psychiatric Medical Association, and was recognized as a 2008 Healthcare Hero by New Orleans City Business Magazine.

He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Tulane Medical School. Dr. Roy is a member of Governor Bobby Jindal’s Drug Policy Board and is appointed to the Louisiana State Board of Practical Nurse Examiners. In April of 1997 he was appointed a Fellow of The American Society of Addiction Medicine (FASAM).
