Allison Schmitz Pharm D

Allison Schmitz graduated from North Dakota State University with a Pharm.D. In 2013. Following graduation, She completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency (2013-2014) and PGY2 psychiatric pharmacy residency (2014-2015) at the Fargo VA. She works as a psychiatric clinical pharmacy specialist for the Department of Veteran's Affairs and is board certified in psychiatric pharmacy.

Allison is passionate about caring for all patients, particularly vulnerable patient populations, and providing the best care possible. Her special interests include psychotic disorders and opioid use disorders. She goal and results-oriented and has tackled facility-level projects to improve the quality of care provided including improving access to medication treatment for opioid use disorder by addressing barriers and expanding our capabilities as well as reducing high-risk benzodiazepine prescribing.
