Allen P. Chudzinski, MD, FACS, FASCRS is board certified in general surgery and colon and rectal surgery and leads the medical team at the Advanced Center for Colorectal Surgery at Florida Hospital Tampa. His medical interests include assisting patients with hereditary colon, rectal, and anal cancers, and surgical treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis, Crohn’s disease, anorectal disorders, fecal incontinence, ulcerative colitis and colon and rectal polyps. His specialties include minimally invasive colorectal surgical techniques and sphincter-preserving surgery.
Dr. Chudzinski joined Florida Hospital Physician Group in Tampa from Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., where he was Site Director of the Colorectal Surgery Program, Chief of Colorectal Surgery and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Georgetown University Medical School. Prior to his tenure at Georgetown, he completed a prestigious colon and rectal surgery fellowship at Washington Hospital Center, also in the nation’s capital, and carried out his general surgery categorical residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center – part of the Harvard University Medical School. Dr. Chudzinski earned his medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio.
