Allen Aloise PhD

Dr. Allen Aloise is the Director of Laboratories in the Harvard Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology and Director of Graduate Studies for FAS Science. As the administrative executive for CCB, he is responsible for ensuring that over 30 Faculty members have the staff, facilities, financial and grants management support necessary to conduct world class research and teaching. He has overseen the construction and renovation of tens of thousands of square feet of research space, with a focus on safe, efficient, and sustainable laboratories that enable new discoveries. As Director of Graduate Studies, Allen is responsible for the strategic planning for FAS Science Graduate Programs and serves as the primary liaison for the Science Division, the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and the FAS Science departments regarding operations, planning and finances.

He has previously served as a Lecturer, Science Safety Officer, and Associate Director of Technical Services previously at Harvard. Allen has a Ph.D. in chemistry from Harvard University and a B.S. in chemistry from Pennsylvania State University.
