Dr. Allan Welter, MD, MPH, is a Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of South Florida. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, with expertise in catheter ablation, atrial fibrillation, supraventricular and ventricular tachycardias, pacemaker and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) implantation and management, and other advanced electrophysiology procedures.

Dr. Welter earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine and a Master of Public Health (MPH). He completed his residency in Internal Medicine, followed by fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at USF Morsani College of Medicine. In addition to providing comprehensive patient care, Dr. Welter is actively involved in medical education and clinical research focused on advancing the treatment of cardiovascular disease and heart rhythm disorders.
