Allam Alkowatli MD, FACC, FSCAI

Dr. Allam Alkowatli is an American Board Certified Consultant Interventional Cardiologist and our Chief of Cardiology at Emirates Hospital. He practiced in the USA for 15 years before moving to Dubai in 2009 While being American Board certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, and internal medicine, he is also licensed in Nuclear Cardiology at the state of Arkansas, USA. Dr. Allam is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow of the American Society of Angiography and Intervention. He was also a professor, the University of Alabama at Birmingham in the USA and he has participated and engaged in numerous interventional cardiology research work and publications.

Dr. Alkowatli completed his Fellowship in clinical cardiology at the renowned William Beaumont Hospital in 1999, Michigan, – one of the top 10 programs in interventional cardiology in the USA. He then completed a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at the University of Alabama, USA, in 2000 – another highly regarded program in interventional cardiology.

During his fellowship, Dr. Alkowatli has performed more than 800 coronary and peripheral interventions during his Fellowship. He has also performed more than 4500 diagnostic Coronary and peripheral angiographies and more than 3200 of coronary, carotid and peripheral arterial interventions during his practice.
