Aliza has an extensive career that spans over 30 years in the field of Life Sciences and Clinical Oncology, starting at the Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem, where she served as the Manager of Immunotherapy and Bone Marrow Transplantation clinical trials 16 years. Working in a clinical trial setting, she focused on treatment of hemato-oncological patients and implemented innovative immunotherapies modalities, including cellular and cytokine approaches.

In 2006 Aliza joined Novartis Pharmaceuticals as an Oncology Clinical Research Manager. In that capacity, she managed multi-phasic clinical trials - both local and regional - specializing in investigator-initiated trials. In 2010 she returned from a pharmaceutical environment to a hospital-oriented clinical setting, at Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer where she serves to date as the Oncology Division Clinical Trials Research Manager.

Aliza defined a main goal there - to lead a collaborative project that resulted in establishing and operating a Phase-I clinical trials unit. Currently Aliza is responsible for managing, recruiting and supervising more than 130 active Phase I-IV clinical trials, which cover an extensive spectrum of Oncological diseases. The clinical trials team at Sheba Oncology Division consists of 36 dedicated and professional staff including coordinators, nurses, CTAs and administrative and laboratory staff.

Aliza has a B.Sc. in Nursing and an M.Sc. in Microbiology majoring in Immunotherapy and bone marrow transplantation – both from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel. Throughout her career, Aliza received several awards and contributed to more than 65 publications, including book chapters and original research and review articles.
