Dr. Alissa M. Conde, MD, FAAP, is a pediatric sports medicine physician at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and an assistant professor of pediatrics. She specializes in the care of young athletes, focusing on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of sports-related injuries while promoting long-term health and performance. Dr. Conde is dedicated to helping children and adolescents safely return to physical activity through individualized, evidence-based care plans. She works closely with patients and families to support recovery, build resilience, and encourage lifelong healthy habits. Her clinical interests include injury prevention, sports safety, and optimizing athletic performance in youth.
A former competitive gymnast, Dr. Conde brings personal insight into the physical and mental demands faced by young athletes. This experience informs her patient-centered approach, particularly in guiding athletes through injury recovery and safe return-to-play strategies. Dr. Conde is also actively involved in specialized sports medicine programs, including leading a gymnastics-focused clinic that provides comprehensive care for athletes with sport-specific injuries and performance concerns. She completed her medical degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, followed by a pediatrics residency and a fellowship in pediatric sports medicine. Dr. Conde is board-certified in pediatrics and sports medicine.
