Alison Walker is a regional EMS Medical Director in the UK and a Consultant in Emergency Medicine with a Specialist Interest in EMS, she has been involved in providing prehospital care since 1996. She was a Helicopter Emergency System (HEMS) physician 2002-2013 and was a HEMS Medical Director 2005-2013. She has been a the UK Royal College of Emergency Medicine representative on the U.K. Joint Royal Colleges Ambulance Liaison Committee which produces the UK EMS Clinical Guidelines since 2005. She is an examiner for the Fellowship and Diploma in Immediate Medical Care for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. She has set up a local joint EMS and hospital CPD program, providing Whole Patient Journey CPD to improve clinical care and understanding across the Prehospital to hospital systems. She has a specialist Interest in research and has published on a range of EMS topics. She continues to deliver Prehospital immediate care for her regional EMS system.
