Dr. Alison S. Witkin is the associate director of the Massachusetts General Hospital Pulmonary Hypertension and Thromboendarterectomy Program. Dr. Witkin earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and completed fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the Harvard Combined Fellowship (Massachusetts General Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center).

Dr. Witkin’s clinical interests include pulmonary hypertension and acute and chronic pulmonary embolism. She is particularly interested in the follow-up care of patients with pulmonary embolism. She is an active member of the Massachusetts General Hospital Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT) and serves as co-chair of the communications committee for the national PERT Consortium. Dr. Witkin is Board Certified in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Internal Medicine.
