Alison Ranger MSc, MBBS, MRCP, MD, FRCR

Dr. Alison Ranger, MSc, MBBS, MRCP, MD, FRCR, is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. Dr. Ranger graduated from University College London Medical School in 2005. She completed her specialist oncology training in London, predominantly at The Royal Marsden. In addition to obtaining a master’s degree in Oncology from the University of London, she also has a research degree from the Institute of Cancer Research. Her research focuses on complex radiotherapy techniques to maximize the radiation dose delivered to the breast and lymph nodes whilst reducing the dose to the heart and lungs. In 2016, Dr. Ranger was awarded the Proton Beam Visiting Fellowship from The Royal College of Radiologists and spent time at MD Anderson in Texas learning about this new technique.

Her research interests include the use of complex radiotherapy techniques for high-risk breast cancer patients. She is also the metastatic spinal cord compression lead at The Royal Marsden with an interest in Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy for spinal metastases.
