Dr. Alicia Martínez Pineiro Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Barcelona and is a specialist in Neurology from Germans Trias Hospital, where she has focused on neuromuscular pathology and functional tests of the central and peripheral nervous system. He has carried out external rotations at the Neuromuscular Unit at the Hospital de la Santa Creu and Sant Pau and at the Intraoperative Neurophysiology Unit at the Hospital de Bellvitge. She has the title of research sufficiency in the doctoral program of the Autonomous University of Barcelona and has been the beneficiary of a Río Hortega research contract from the Instituto de Salud Carlos III of the Spanish Government. Within the framework of this contract, he followed a training program in general and also specific to the central nervous system Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (MNIO) and did stays at the Hyman-Newman Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in New York, in the Intraoperative Neurophysiology Unit of the Bellvitge Hospital and the Instituto Clinico Humanitas in Milan. It has implemented the MNIO in a standardized way in the Neurosurgery, Orthopedic and Traumatology, Otorhinolaryngology, and Thoracic Surgery services of Germans Trias. She has been a pioneer at the state level in the application of this discipline for the endovascular treatment of neurovascular pathology, in the hospital's Interventional Neuroradiology Unit.

He has participated as a powerful in his area of ​​expertise in national and international congresses and in the MNIO module of the Montero-Valls Electrodiagnostic Master of the University of Barcelona.
