Alice Wang MD

Dr. Alice Wang, MD, specializes in bariatric surgery and is on the Premier Weight Loss Solutions team. She was drawn to this field because of how life-changing bariatric surgery can be for the patient. She completed her medical school training and general surgery residency at Duke University. She then completed a bariatric surgery fellowship at Carolinas Medical Center. Dr. Wang also has a Master's in Health Sciences in clinical research and has published extensively in high-impact journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine.

She is passionate about investigating clinical outcomes and increasing access to bariatric surgery. Dr. Wang is also very involved in improving diversity and inclusion in health care and serves on the Diversity and Inclusion Committee for the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and the Surgery Department at Wright State University.

Board-certified, by the American Board of Surgery (ABS), Dr. Wang is an Assistant Professor at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine and is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). She is the recipient of numerous honors, grants, and scholarships. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new trails with her husband and two Pomeranians.
