Dr. Ali Razmara, MD, is a board-certified neurologist and vascular neurologist (stroke specialist) with Southern California Permanente Medical Group at Kaiser Permanente. Dr. Razmara provides expert care in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cerebrovascular diseases, including acute stroke care, stroke prevention, neurorehabilitation, telestroke services, and the evaluation of pregnancy-related and gender-related differences in stroke.
Dr. Razmara earned both his Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a PhD in cerebrovascular pharmacology from the University of California, Irvine. He completed his medical internship, neurology residency, and a fellowship in vascular neurology (stroke) at Harvard Medical School’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. He is double board-certified in general neurology and vascular neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Originally from Iran, Dr. Razmara grew up across multiple regions before settling in Southern California. He embraces his multicultural background in both his personal and professional life and values comprehensive, culturally attentive care. Dr. Razmara is dedicated to advancing stroke care through clinical excellence and patient education, helping individuals and families navigate complex neurological conditions with clarity and compassion.
