Dr. Alfred Wyatt, Jr. has practiced dentistry for over 30 years and has studied lasers and light technologies in dentistry for over 15 years. A native of Atlanta GA, Dr. Wyatt was educated in the Atlanta Public School system.
He received a B.S. degree in biology from Clark College in 1980 and his DMD from Medical College of Georgia (School of Dentistry) in 1984. Dental organization affiliations include the National Dental Association, American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Society (president-2005), Georgia Dental Association, North Georgia Dental Society, Christian Dental Society, and the Hinman Dental Society. Dr. Wyatt is also a member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD) where he has served on the board of directors and attained Advanced Proficiency and Educator Status. He is past chair of the Education Committee of the ALD and has uses several types of lasers in his practice. He has been the author or co-author of several publications related to the clinical use of light technologies. Over the years, he has trained dentists on the use of various light technologies as well. He also presently serves as a dental editor for WebMD. Aside from his practice, Dr. Wyatt has participated in numerous health fairs, taken mission trips to Haiti, treated athletes and other dignitaries in the Olympic Village during the 1996 Olympiad in Atlanta, and volunteers at the Ben Massell dental clinic.
