Ms. Alexis Hutson is a Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management (FMLM) Executive Coach, developing doctor’s skills in leadership and management all over the UK. She splits her time evenly between working with individuals and facilitating learning for healthcare teams and groups delivering training for organisations such as Academy of Medical Sciences, Nottingham Medical School, Royal College of Radiologists, The Crick, The Christie NHS Trust and Kings College London.

As a coach, Alexis works exclusively with doctors. These doctors work privately in a 121 setting where they explore and develop their thinking and decisions. They include partners in General Practice and Secondary Care consultants and range from the newly qualified to those considering retirement. Alexis uses a range of tools to support doctors’ learning and self-development, including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and Emotional Intelligence assessments. Prior to working as a coach, she held various positions in the NHS. These ranged from Head of Communications to Organisational Development Lead and she also held independent contracts with clients such as the Department of Health and NHS East Midlands. These experiences give her an in-depth understanding of how the health service is administered and how its people operate.
