Dr. Sirker studied as an undergraduate at the University of Cambridge, where he gained a First Class Honours Degree in Physiology in 1994. He progressed to clinical training, also in Cambridge, and passed final MB examinations with triple University Distinctions. His Cardiology training was undertaken at a number of leading London Hospitals including King’s College Hospital, Guys and St Thomas’, Harefield, and the Royal Brompton. His specialist training in Interventional Cardiology was gained at King’s College Hospital, London, and during a fellowship in British Columbia, Canada. Read less

Dr. Sirker has a busy NHS practice as a Consultant Cardiologist at University College London Hospitals and St Bartholomew’s Hospital, where he is involved in both General and Interventional Cardiology.

His special interests in general adult cardiology include investigation of symptoms such as chest pains, breathlessness, palpitations, dizziness, and faints. Also longer-term management of chronic heart conditions such as coronary artery disease, heart valve diseases, high blood pressure, and heart failure. His special interests in interventional cardiology include coronary angiography, angioplasty and stenting, and assessment of coronary artery disease using intravascular imaging and fractional flow reserve.
