Alexandra Thurston MSc

Alexandra Thurston is an Associate Publisher at Elsevier with a strong background in scientific and academic publishing. She has experience working within the scholarly publishing industry and supporting the dissemination of high-quality research and academic knowledge. Alexandra holds an MSc in Clinical Neuroscience from University College London (UCL), where she developed expertise in areas including basic neuroscience, higher brain function, paroxysmal disorders, motor systems and disease, research statistics, and experimental neuronal circuit investigation.

During her postgraduate studies, she also completed independent research within a laboratory setting. In addition to her professional work, Alexandra has contributed to initiatives supporting first-generation academics and promoting greater access to higher education. Her combination of scientific training and publishing experience enables her to contribute effectively to the advancement and communication of research within the academic and scientific community.
