Alexandra Soldatou received her Medical Doctorate from the University of Athens Medical School on a National Scholarship for high academic achievement. She completed a residency training program in General Pediatrics at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, USA, and she received the American Board of Pediatrics certification. Alexandra received subspecialty training in Pediatric Immunology and Bone Marrow Transplantation at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, in London. She completed her doctorate thesis at the Bone Marrow Transplantation Research Laboratory, “Elpida – Marianna Vardinogianni Hospital”.

Alexandra joined the University of Athens Medical School, initially at the “Aghia Sophia”, and subsequently at the “P. & A. Kyriakou” Children’s Hospital. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and an active member of Child Advocacy committees and organizations. She has several publications in international peer-reviewed scientific journals. From the beginning of her career, she has actively participated in committees for the protection of children, at the organizational and educational level.
