Dr. Rutherford is a professor of psychology at York University in Toronto. She earned her Ph.D. in the History & Theory of Psychology from York in 2001. She is a critical, feminist, historian of psychology and infuses feminism and gender issues throughout her teaching. She founded and directs the Psychology’s Feminist Voices oral history and digital archive project (www.feministvoices.com) and has collaborated with the Psychology’s Feminist Voices team to develop numerous multimedia teaching resources. Most recently, the team has produced a series of videos to show students how to apply the methods and concepts of gender-based analysis to psychology
