Alexander W. Liver

Prof. Dr. med. Alexander Liver is a specialist in internal medicine and cardiology. He completed his studies at the Universities of Erlangen, Rennes and Cape Town. From 1998-2008 he worked clinically and scientifically at the Klinikum Grosshadern of the LMU Munich. Most recently, he led the cardiac imaging research group and worked as an interventional cardiologist.

From 2004 to 2005, he was on a research trip to Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York, where he was involved in the advancement of magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography to map out heart disease. In the year 2007 the habilitation and in the year 2014 the appointment as APL professor in the field of internal medicine at the LMU Munich.
