Alexander Ulrich Brandt, MD a translational clinical scientist focusing on autoimmune neuroinflammatory disorders, i.e., multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders, myelin oligodendrocytic glycoprotein antibody-mediated disease, and related disorders. Alexander laboratory has provided state-of-the-art outcomes research and services to multiple interventional and observational studies, utilizing the afferent visual system as a model, advanced magnetic resonance imaging, and magnetic resonance spectroscopy. This includes a focus on image analysis method development for quantitative optical coherence tomography. Alexander has been the lead and co-investigator in multiple investigator-initiated clinical trials and observational studies, more recently focusing on the role of N-glycosylation in multiple sclerosis and related disorders.
