Dr. Saxby is a Consultant ENT Surgeon and Specialist Otologist treating both adults and children. He is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Sydney and is Head of Department for Otolaryngology at the Northern Beaches Hospital. He is also appointed at Royal Prince Alfred, North Shore Private and Pittwater Day Surgery Hospitals. His main areas of interest include endoscopic (keyhole) ear surgery, cochlear implantation and Indigenous ear health.

He graduated from Cambridge University Medical School (1st Hons) and later moved to Australia in 2002. After gaining his FRACS in 2011, he spent time with various otology clinics around the world on post-graduate fellowships including: Switzerland (The Fisch Microsurgery Fellowship), France, Canada and Italy.

He is an invited member of the International Working Group on Endoscopic Ear Surgery (IWGEES) which promotes discussion and research into the use of endoscopes in ear surgery. He has lectured and presented at endoscopic ear surgery courses and meetings internationally. He is a founding member of the Sydney Endoscopic Ear Surgery Research Group (www.sydneyearendoscopy.com) and is co-director of their yearly Endoscopic Ear Surgery Course in Sydney. He is passionate about closing the gap in health care for Indigenous Australians and runs regular outreach clinics in remote Aboriginal communities in rural Australia.
