Alexandra Miller Vinograd MD, MSHP, DTM&H

Dr. Alexandra Vinograd is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and an Attending Physician in the Division of Emergency Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Dr. Vinograd graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in All Subjects in History and German Area Studies. After university, she studied at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar during which time she founded a small non-profit organization to benefit street children in Lima, Peru. She received her medical degree from Stony Brook University where she was elected to the junior Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed the Harvard Combined Residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics in Boston, Massachusetts, and a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During her fellowship, she completed a Master of Science in Health Policy Research from the University of Pennsylvania. She also holds a Diploma of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from the Gorgas Memorial Institute of Tropical Medicine and the Universidad Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru. Dr. Vinograd is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (Internal Medicine) and the American Board of Pediatrics (General Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine). Dr. Vinograd’s clinical and research interests are focused on global health. Dr. Vinograd is currently collaborating with pediatricians in Liberia to examine caustic soda injuries with the intent of creating a culturally informed injury prevention program.
