Dr. Alexander R. Guimaraes is Assistant Professor of Radiology at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Medical Director of the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging. He completed his PhD at MIT in the Department of Nulcear Engineering, specializing in MRI and developing novel imaging stragtegies towards quantifying neuronal degeneration. He completed his MD at Harvard Medical School and came to MGH to pursure his internship, residency, (where he served as Chief Resident), and fellowship in Abdominal Imaging and Interventional Radiology.
