Dr. Alexander Carbo, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He has served on the BIDMC Department of Medicine Quality Improvement Committee since joining the faculty in 2001. The committee divided in 2004 to form the Medical Peer Review Committee (MPRC), with a focus on case review, and the Medical Patient Care Committee, with a focus on policy. Dr. Carbo continues to serve on both committees and is the coordinator for the MPRC.
Dr. Carbo is an original member of the Department of Medicine Core Faculty in Patient Safety. He serves as a lecturer and project mentor for the Stoneman Patient Safety Rotation, an introduction to patient safety and quality improvement for junior and senior medical residents.
