Alexander Postalian Yrausquin MD

Dr. Postalian is a cardiology fellow at the Texas Heart Institute. He worked as a rural physician in Venezuela for a year after medical school before moving to the United States for his Internal Medicine Residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (McGovern Medical School). After completing his fellowship at THI, he will pursue an Interventional Cardiology fellowship. Dr. Postalian has remained active in research over the last decade and his main research interests have included transcatheter valve replacement outcomes, modulating cardiac remodeling in transplant recipients and studying ways to minimize radiation exposure to cath lab staff.
