Alex Cory Whitley MD, PhD, FACRO

Dr. Alex Whitley holds a Ph.D. in Gastrointestinal Malignancies with a clinical interest in head and neck, gynecological, and esophageal cancers. Among his many honors and awards, Dr. Whitley served as Chief Resident at UAB in Radiation Oncology in 2013; received the 2014 ABS/Nucletron HDR Brachytherapy Scholarship, and was named UAB Clinical Trial Auditor in 2014.

Certified by the American Board of Radiology, Dr. Whitley maintains professional membership in a number of medical societies, including the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO), American Brachytherapy Society (ABS). He and his wife Heather have three children and are members of Vaughn Forest Church.
