Alessandro Terruzzi MD

Dr. Alessandro Terruzzi is currently the Head of the Neurology Department at Mediclinic City Hospital, and Clinical Lead and Head of Mediclinic Comprehensive Stroke Center at City Hospital, in Dubai (UAE). Dr. Terruzzi graduated from, and underwent Specialist training in Neurology, at the University of Medicine and Surgery of MilanoBicocca in Italy, where he also obtained a 2nd level Master's Degree in Cerebrovascular Diseases. He was working at the Neuroscience Department of Manzoni Hospital as a Stroke Neurologist, where he was the former Director of the Headache Center, before moving to Dubai in 2017 as a Consultant Neurologist. He is also a well-trained Neuro-sonologist, an expert in ultrasound Doppler investigation of the carotid and vertebral arteries and transcranial eco-colour Doppler. Since 2019 he collaborates with the Mohamed Bin Rashid University as Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor. Dr. Terruzzi’s primary interests are the diagnosis and treatment of headaches and cerebrovascular disorders.
