Alessandra Weber

Alessandra Weber is a PhD student in the Gene Transfer Technology and New Gene Therapy Strategies Unit at the San Raffaele Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy (SR-TIGET) in Milan. She earned her medical degree from Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna, graduating with highest honors, and later specialized in Hematology at the University of Milan, also graduating with distinction.

Her research at SR-TIGET focuses on advancing innovative gene-editing and hematopoietic stem cell–based therapies for genetic and hematological diseases. Working within one of the world’s leading centers for translational gene therapy research, she contributes to the development of next-generation strategies aimed at improving the safety, precision, and clinical applicability of gene and cell therapies.
