Alen Zabotti MD

Alen Zabotti is a Consultant Rheumatologist in the Rheumatology Unit of the University Hospital of Udine in Udine, Italy. He obtained his MD at the University of Udine and he undertook clinical training in rheumatology at the University of Verona in Verona, Italy. He has been a practicing rheumatology consultant for 5 years and his clinical activities have been dedicated to both inpatients and outpatients, mainly focusing on early arthritis clinics and biologic clinics.

Dr. Zabotti has a specific research interest in psoriatic arthritis, the characterization of preclinical phases of psoriatic arthritis, early arthritis, and the use of ultrasound in rheumatic diseases.

Dr Zabotti has authored 65 publications in peer-reviewed journals (30 as the first or last author) including Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases and Dermatology and Therapy. He is a member of the Italian Society of Rheumatology, GRAPPA (Group for Research and Assessment of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis), OMERACT (Outcome Measures in Rheumatology), and the Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Study Group of the Italian Society of Rheumatology.
