Alefiya Faizullabhoy MBA, MS, RD, CDCES, CDN, FAND

Alefiya Faizullabhoy is a senior manager for nutrition and dietetics at the division of maternal-fetal medicine at Northwell Health, New York. In this role, she collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team managing people with gestational diabetes and pregestational diabetes in pregnancy. Administratively, she oversees a team of diabetes care and education specialists across multiple practice sites.

Faizullabhoy has held various volunteer leadership roles at the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (ADCES) and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND). Most recently, she has been elected to the board of directors at ADCES and is the current ADCES liaison to AND. Faizullabhoy is the author and co-author of several publications in academic journals and is a recognized speaker at national conferences on nutrition and diabetes. She is well known for her role as a developer for education modules on nutrition and diabetes published by professional organizations. Faizullabhoy is a strong believer in mindful eating and the powerful role of medical nutrition therapy.
