Alec Stone MA, MPA

Alec Stone, ONS Health Policy Director, has been a leader in healthcare legislative and regulatory affairs for more than two decades. With an expertise in biomedical research and healthcare advocacy, he has worked with premiere organizations such as the American Cancer Society, American Medical Association, American Dental Association, American Library Association, Deafness Research Foundation, Research!America, and the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology. He has extensive experience with Congress, the NIH, FDA, CMS, NSF, HHS, and other federal agencies.

From campaign management to media development, Mr. Stone has worked in the Clinton White House, for several members of Congress, and for elected officials in the Washington, DC metropolitan area as a consultant. He has created two Congressional health caucuses, drafted report language, held legislative briefings, written Congressional testimony, provided information for the Congressional Record, and set up annual meetings between advocates and their federal representatives.
