Aldrick Ruiz MD, PhD is a senior manager in Accenture Life Sciences (ASIS practice). With extensive domain expertise in both medical practice/research and Health IT, he functions as a rare bridge between medicine, research, and (emerging) technologies.
His clinical experience stems from his time in cardiothoracic surgery, after which he leads research on breast cancer liver metastases. As a technologist, he worked as a consultant for several industries where he was exposed to cutting-edge emerging technologies that he brings to his programs.
His passion lies in healthcare data and the role NoSQL and next-generation data stores will have in creating value and improving healthcare outcomes. He delivers complex architecture to take his clients from wishing to leading in their area.
He has multiple high-impact scientific publications, presented at a national and international conference, is multilingual, and holds several technology certifications i.e. AWS pro solutions architect, Chef and Elasticsearch.
