Alberto Zanchetti MD

Prof. Zanchetti is Scientific Director of the Istitute of Auxologico Italiano, Milan, and Emeritus Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Milan. Past-President of the European Society of Hypertension; Distinguished Member of the International Society of Hypertension, of which he has been President, Vice-President and Secretary; Past President of the European Society for Clinical Investigation; Chairman (1984-88) of the Working Group on Hypertension and the Heart of the European Society of Cardiology.

He is Honorary Member of American Heart Association, International Society of Hypertension, European Society of Hypertension, Latin-American Society of Hypertension and a number of National Societies on Hypertension. Doctor Honoris Causa, University of Guadalajara (Mexico), Carolus Davila University Bucarest. Honorary Professor, Catholic University of Chile, WHO consultant for Cardiovascular Diseases for more than 20 years.
