Alberto Simoncini MD

Dr. Simoncini earned his medical degree at the National University of Buenos Aires School of Medicine, Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1992. He completed his Residency in Radiology at FADIM / Investigación Médica (Medical Research) in 1997. Dr. Simoncini has lived and practiced in Shreveport for the past 13 years. He and his wife, Cinzia, have three children. Dr. Simoncini's area of specialty is Musculoskeletal Radiology. He is a Professor of Radiology, Director of Musculoskeletal Radiology, and serves as Program Director of the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program.

Dr. Simoncini has served on the Quality Improvement Committee, Department of Radiology, from 2012. He is also a member of the Clinical Research Committee and the Information Technology Committee at LSU Health Sciences Center - Shreveport. Dr. Simoncini’s editorial activities include the Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine and the Journal of the Argentinean Society of Radiology. He is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, the Society of Skeletal Radiology, and the Association of Program Directors in Radiology. Dr. Simoncini’s research interests include MR Safety, Multimodality Imaging, and Ultrasound diagnosis.
